This week, we have brand new wallpapers on our wallpapers section. This time, we filled a missing void and added some more Cedar Point wallpapers, all of which can be seen here!.Also, we have officially announced our 'Christmas Time' holiday event, which will run thru this month. An official beginning date has not been set yet. You may check out the announcement here. They range from Millenium Force to Mantis, we have you covered! And also, we have changed our home page yet again. This time, we moved some things around and changed some pictures. And last but not least, we have our classic Weekly Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 Contest back up and running. It is currently in Round 1 and sign-ups for Round 2 shall begin this Wensday, so if you would like to take a shot, then check back this Wensday to sign up! After years of failed attempts at landing some sort of tourist attraction, the Garden Grove City Council voted 5-0 in agreement to allow an investment firm to proceed with plans for a $4 billion dollar amusement park project. The 150-acre site is literally down the road approximately three miles from the Disneyland Resort in the city of Garden Grove, CA. Read it all here.

November 22,2006 :: Geauga Lake To Remove X-Flight
n amusement park is dismantling one of its newest and most popular roller coasters to move it to another park.Workers at Geauga Lake recently started taking down X-Flight, a steel coaster near the park's front gate, said Bryan Edwards, a park spokesman.The coaster will relocate in another park owned by Cedar Fair LP, the parent company of Geauga Lake. Cedar Fair operates a dozen amusement parks across the country, including Cedar Point in Sandusky. Edwards said he did not know where X-Flight would land. Read it allhere.


November 10,2006 :: Six Flags Bids Come In Lower Than Expected
Six Flags Inc., seeking to reduce its $2.2 billion of debt by selling theme parks, received bids for the properties that may fall short of investors' expectations, two people briefed on the matter said. Buyout firm MidOcean Partners and theme park operator Herschend Family Entertainment Corp. offered less than $650 million for the six locations, said the people, who declined to be identified because the process is private.
