My Family Well, my wonderful wife of 11 years actually does not participate in my genealogy efforts, however, she does not hold me back either. She supports my efforts and encourages me to get to my next "find". We have 2 kids, a 3yr old son and a 9yr old daughter. And they are a handful within themselves. Genealogy is a hobby of mine, my actual job is an Acura salesperson. I have sold cars for more than 6 years now. My dream would be to provide genealogy services as a full time job. Unfortunately, it will not pay the bills at this time :) Regardless, I do this as a hobby to stay busy, plus I love researching as a whole.

My ReasonOne time about 4 years ago, I needed a death certificate for an individual that died in Lamar Co., TX. I sent my $20 to the Vital Records Dept. located in Austin, Texas. Only to receive a letter stating that they could not find my death certificate. I tried one more time with a different spelling, to no avail. So one day, I was at the library and was told they have the Texas Death Certificates on microfilm. So, I thought I would just look for that same person just to be sure.... And what do you know... There he was, plain as day. I was convinced the hourly waged employee of the state did not even look it up. At that point in time, I had been offering genalogical services through the internet and in newspapers as a hobby. I thought maybe I would add Texas Death Certificates as another option to my services. It turned out that I had to stop offering my original lookup services to make time for the death certificates. It's been an amazing ride, and I have made alot of great friends in the "genealogy world". Thanks for all the support over the last 4 years.
